At least three districts in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia have been sinking continuously since May 29th, 2006 due to the Lapindo mudflow disaster. Several people have died, and the survivors who are still living around the area are exposed to the poisonous chemicals emitted by the mudflow, resulting in a series of health-related side effects. Saadah, Rafi’s mother, is one of the victims of this disaster. She collapses while selling her traditional salad within the vicinity of the affected area. The doctor at the local clinic centre advises Rafi that they are running out of the medicine and thus will need to find more in the pharmacy. Out of love, Rafi offers to go to the nearest pharmacy himself along with his friends, Yusman and Wulan. However, the trip to the pharmacy is not as easy as Rafi originally expects. Undeterred by this, Rafi is determined to give his best to pass through all the obstacles along the way to show that how much he cares for his mom and his beloved friends.
